It sounds like you're describing The Cell (2000), directed by Tarsem Singh. The film stars Jennifer Lopez, Vince Vaughn, and Vincent D'Onofrio. In The Cell, a psychologist named Catherine Deane (played by Jennifer Lopez) uses experimental technology to enter the minds of her patients. She enters the mind of a comatose serial killer in an attempt to find the location of his laтест victim, who is still alive but trapped. Inside his mind, she encounters various nightmarish and surreal scenes, including representations of the killer's traumatic past, including his abusive father.

The movie is known for its striking visual style and disturbing dream sequences, which feature a blend of horror, fantasy, and psychological thriller elements.

 No.1842

Silent Hill 1 is a tragic story.
other silent hill games are consumerist garbageslop mostly.

they repeat the same rip off of jacob's letter all over again. Avoiding the fact that Silent Hill is supposed to be a horror place not a fucking therapist session. It maeks no sense that nighmtares change to their will when they think intentionally and it makes no sense that they fight monsters that symbolize the past.

That shit made sense in Silent Hill 1 and Shattered Memories because cheryl is infected with literal devil.
That's my two cents.

other games are metaphoric and weird. they are contemporary fiction designed for mindless amusement.
But that is just my complete thoughts. I also think music from SH1 was far scarier with only the room coming in comparison. It was so simple.

 No.1843

Also, I don't really consider SH3 as sequel to the first game with exception of it being its own content. I am not fan. I just look objectively at the facts and way it is.

 No.1844

SH1 is not connected to the rest of any games. Since it has actually coherent plot that makes sense.

Idiots admire complexity.

 No.1845

Even the guy who made original Silent Hill is making another game called Splinterhell or something. It seems to be Japanese.

 No.1846

I am not really big fan of it.

But because of my analytical intellect, I can probably give review

ironically, ive made it in pdf document. before… but no fucking cares.

sh1 i am not gonna make review.

Silent Hill 2. Okay, so the fucking interview guy is creep. He probably gooned to image of Maria while making plot.

I don't know why people think so highly of mainstream product outside of the fact it was maisntream product. Everyone likes dark souls because of jackcepticye streams and so everyone likes Silent Hill 2 because of jakceptikye.

The story is meaningless. Also, Europeans don't value loyality that high. There's no reason to be ashamed of disloyality. Since whites have open marriages and don't give the fuck.
Monsters are uninspiring but pedophile monster idea was somewhat decent, I liked it.

SH3 Okay, first it's not considered as sequel. The fact that Henry from SH1 dies offscreen is fucking annoying as hell. All the characters are boring. "The Order".

It's unbelievably boring organization. In fact, it's bad when a story you write sounds like the characters in it are fillers that come by for one episode.

All SH3 characters feel surreal, like they shouldn't exist. As for story, it's lame. Symbolism was probably written on toilet paper in 15 minutes without much care or thought; it's mostly consumerist.
There was no point where Russo Brothers were thinking about what they were writing for this consumeristslop but if they were the actual directors of SH3 they would make a better story.

SH4. Had better chance if they left "The Order". Abusive Mother relationship. William, similar to Alessa in the first game, he is the victim. I think that I like his character.

The gameplay of this game though is pretty bad. Not gonna lie it's pretty bad.

The ghosts aesthetics of the game though I would appreciate. The ghosts make the game interesting.

I can't the same about the anticlimatic ending, the autistic guy saved a girl who doesn't even look at him in tihs way. blackpill incel henry. truly terrifying how much women take man's shit like it's owned to them. fucking bitches. poor henry.

My eyes hurt so I am ending this review. But SH: Shattered Memories was pretty good. For Downpour, I don't know if it was that scary. But horror games can't be scary, without relying on real analogies which SH1 does. Abusive mothers, parents, corrupt politicians, scumbag businessmen who treat others like inferiors, shit like taht what makes that game feel relatable. The horror is in real life, not in he game. You can relate to it as adult, I can. So that's why it appeared to me at elast better.

 No.1848

Not to mention, Henry is kind of hero.

In the story, if you look at what he goes through he kills giant cockroaches, children-like monsters with blades on their arms, tiny monster babies, giant pterosaurs, gigantic lizard size of bachinasuchus (one of the largest land reptiles, crocodile), gigantic moth, creepy crawling catterpillar that digs itself underground, monster civilian, wild dogs with pure intent to kill and of course Satan.

All of whom are symbolized as real life obstacles that you have to face, for Alessa these are pedophiles and humans. It's a list of things that turn her life to hell. All of whom are taken and exterminated one by one, so I can't help but like HEnry phenotype who has that strong theme. Maybe, my father is kind of like Henry, that's why. I really like the way he just goes around symbolic problems and solves them all. Technically, you solve them. There's only one boss in Silent HIll 2 that ressembles that. That passion to fight for something even though the world is so against it. IT just makes my heart feel nice.

But all of this are just two cents. It happened to exist and I happened to talk for that I am aware of. I don't really like author or anything related to him.
