I had almost given up on anime after so many bad years, then I watched Onimai.
I had doubts about it at first, thinking it would be more Westernized slop for tourists, but it ended up saving anime for me.
The plot is great, the humor is on point, the fan service and eye candy are perfect. It has a real deep and sad plot most viewers can relate to.
Well written. Good characters. Easily the best anime I've seen in many years. Watch Onimai.
