here are reasons
its not funny. absolutely horrible lack of genuine humor. the animation and ugly drawings make it worse. there are only so few anime that genuinely made me laugh, the rest were fucking awful.. By the way, jokes are supposed to be surprising, "character traits" like being always shy and blushing does not COUNT as humor.
japanese cannot understand human emotions or humans in general, which is why anime has no depth. there is zero depth. its all cartoon simple so primitive. no story. the story is only when somebody dies or from countless MEANINGLESS cliffhangers that are overused so much they all become meaningless. The character's importance comes from whether he dies or not, outside of it it's so boring and unoriginal also,
unoriginal 99% of anime are trash its always most boring story ever written in history but because japan sells manga in India and Phillipines or something they still gain profit that keeps them alive. because mutts keep buying anime shit in fact anime is beloved just because its anime so all that matters is that characters look sexually kawaii neotenous enough etc…. without "moe" most anime would flop.

also, all of it is just lord of the rings redone 6 gorrilion times or something.

true. even miyazaki movies have zero depth to them, despite what people might say. spirited away for example is just a bunch of gross out and fantastical looking scenes. there's almost no story or anything other than just creepy, weird gross out scenes. the animation is amazing, but that's really it. I will never understand why people praise miyazaki movies so much.

true, but moe is important. actually wanting to look at the characters and finding them appealing is a huge part of being able to enjoy a cartoon, so you can't just discredit that

japs and germans just aren't funny. they're too busy being sticks in the mud and/or stuck up to have a real sense of humor. it's very much a cultural phenomenon.

i feel it might be partially true but masculine characters can be just as appealing yet they're usually not treated the same as moe anime.
