It's a strange thing to witness the western porn-addled fandom mentality, but here are my thoughts on it.
As a creative, you basically have to make your stuff as "porn-proof" as you can, meaning the characters in your work have to be as sexy as they can get for example Kuroe Minori from Sekai Oni, if they are meant to be so, and characterized so well that any deviation in their behavior will be less accepted by fans. If someone comes and tries to enhance a character that isn't meant to be enhanced, or tries to write them too differently for the sake of further sexualization for example Rukkyyung/Lukyon from Sekai Oni, it should be so that only the most braindead fans will be able to disregard the original characterization and accept the reinterpretation as an overwrite. Basically, write and draw the characters as well as possible. If people make canon porn that fits well into your work like that one part where the manga artist fucks in Sekai Oni, you did something right, but if the porn surpasses your work in popularity, you fucked up somewhere.
This world is funny because of all the entitled pornfags (I think porn should aim to be original too, by the way for example MGQ and Rance) and fanatics. I'm a degenerate, but I don't seem to be as far gone as these 4channers.
